Artist's Description
I decided to put together a still life by candlelight. I used a light gray background. Then I placed two different colored candles (red and lavendar) on a stand along with a glass apple decoration. My intention was for the lighted candles to make the clear glass apple look red. I was pleased with the result.
About Lila Mattison
I was born in Pennsylvania and now reside in New York state with my husband. I've been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. As a young girl I took pictures of my family and friends. As I got older I began to favor taking photos of scenery, sunrises, sunsets, nature(including wildlife) and unusual things. About ten years ago, I worked side by side with a professional photographer doing weddings and receptions, school sports photos and families. I really enjoyed this, so I decided to go out on my own.
